Vatican City

The entire class spent a week in Rome to end off the semester.. well two weeks before exams.. so some of us were still finishing up homework.. sigh.. But it was awesome to finally all be together on a trip! We saw so much of Rome and Pompeii... I'll be sure to write stories as I keep posting pictures!

So far one of my favorite pictures! This was taken handheld from the top of St. Peters Basilica looking down into the square and out into the rest of Rome. Having an amazing guide in our Professor Peter Bareman made the entire trip better as we actually were able to climb up here and do other tours etc on a schedule without having to wait in lines or anything.. which when we traveled alone we could never quite master! Peter was a well of knowledge and I truly should have him write the captions for these pictures.

The stairways to get there! Vero and I walked up together.. It was a long extremely hot and windy climb but at least there was an abundance of different languages to eavesdrop in on :)

Ashleigh and I grabbed a picture up there of course :)

When I start looking at the pictures again there is so much to tell but I'll have to wait and get around to it later!

Larsen Lake

Back in Iowa and time to start catching up on the photoblog! I'll catch everyone up more on my life and this summer later.. but I just finished this shot and wanted to post it! It was taken out in Colorado this summer and was the first stop of a week long trek. Although it looks perfect right now, it actually snowed on us that night in our tents! This was as close to actually being there as I could get the shot to look like... Enjoy and let me know what you think!
